Kyle Brewer Memorial Fund
About Us
The Kyle Brewer Memorial Fund was established in 2016 in honor of our beloved Kyle who suffered from Sudden Cardiac Arrest and collapsed during track practice. He passed away two days later on March 15, 2015 from Sudden Cardiac Death. He had a congenital heart defect which had gone undetected. We are a non-profit 501 C3. Our goal is to help prevent other youths from suffering the same fate as Kyle by spreading awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and the signs to watch for that could be overlooked, even by health care professionals. Furthermore, by placing AED machines in areas needed, we hope to help save lives.
Why we do this
The money raised through the KBMF will be used to purchase AEDs for local athletic associations and provide CPR training within the community.
So far, the Fund provided AED machines and training in their use for Tarsio Lanes, Wallkill Youth Soccer and New Paltz Youth Soccer!!!
Scholarships
In addition to our sudden cardiac death awareness efforts money raised will also provide scholarships for students graduating New Paltz High School where Kyle attended and was a student of the class of 2017.
